Well Done Kachi!

We are delighted that another Alma book has made it into the longlist of a prestigious literary prize. Kachi A. Ozumba's The Shadow of a Smile – a poignant, blackly humourous story of suffering, injustice and redemption – was longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize for debut fiction. The book is also on the shortlist of the Commonwealth Prize, so all the more reason for rejoicing.
